Swimming Class Terms | General Terms and Conditions

Please read the following important information before enrolling in Ocean V Swimming Club swimming classes

1. Swimming Class Related

Membership Fee and Welcome Gifts

First-time students enrolling in our Swimming Club swimming courses must pay a membership fee of $150, which includes a complimentary kickboard, tote bag, and swim cap. Limited quantities available while supplies last.

Check-in Requirements

New students (whether enrolling in adult swimming classes or kids swimming classes) should arrive at the swimming pool entrance 5 minutes before class to check in with the swimming coach.

Pool Rules

Students must comply with all pool rules and regulations. Students under twelve years of age must be accompanied by a parent or adult to enter the pool facility.

Swimwear Requirements

Students must wear appropriate swimwear and goggles during class.

Swim Cap Policy

• Students must wear the Swimming Club swim cap during class for check-in identification and safety purposes
• If the swim cap is lost, a replacement must be purchased at $40
• The swim cap is to be kept by the student until the entire course is completed
• If a student forgets to bring their swim cap, the swimming coach has the right to prohibit the student from entering the water
• Students wearing non-club swim caps will not be permitted to participate

Class Transfer Policy

Except in cases where the enrolled course is cancelled, all enrolled swimming class courses cannot be transferred. Once a student's application is accepted, all paid tuition fees are non-refundable. The club may grant transfers at its discretion and reserves the right to charge a transfer fee of $100.

Class Discipline

Students must absolutely follow the swimming coach's instructions and comply with pool regulations. To ensure student safety, coaches have the right to stop undisciplined students from continuing class, with no refund or make-up class provided.

Health Declaration

By enrolling in the course, students declare that they are in good health and physical condition, suitable for participating in Ocean V Sports Club courses, and accept the associated risks. Ocean V Sports Club and its staff shall not be held liable for any injuries.

Coach Assignment

Our Swimming Club swimming classes do not allow students to select their coach. The club reserves the right to change instructors at any time without prior notice, and students may not object.

Online Conduct

Students must not spread false rumors online. All statements are subject to legal liability.

2. Personal Hygiene

Illness Policy

Do not swim when sick to prevent spreading illness to others.

Health Conditions

Students should monitor their own health condition. If feeling unwell or showing symptoms of infectious diseases such as fever, respiratory symptoms (coughing, runny nose, sore throat), pink eye, rashes, or skin wounds, students should stay home to rest and not force themselves to attend class. Consult a doctor if in doubt.

Coach Authority

If the swimming coach observes at any time that a student's health condition is unsuitable for learning or shows symptoms of infectious disease, the coach has the right to terminate their participation and advise the student to return home to rest for safety.

Dietary Advice

Do not swim on an empty stomach or immediately after eating.

Cleanliness

Shower thoroughly before entering the pool and maintain personal hygiene.

Reporting Discomfort

If feeling any discomfort during class, immediately report to the swimming coach to prevent accidents.

3. Safety First

Class Location

Students must learn in the pool where the Swimming Club assigned coach is present. Other pools may not be used. The swimming coach has the right to decide and change the class location, and students may not object.

After Class

After class, please change clothes promptly and leave by the end of the class time. Students should not linger in the pool area. The club is not responsible for any accidents that occur.

Safety Cancellation

If necessary, the swimming coach has the right to cancel class for safety reasons, and students may not object.

4. Holidays and Make-up Classes

Detailed Make-up Class Rules

• No time extension or refund for late arrivals
• Make-up class allowance is 2 times per term
• Kids swimming class term must be completed within 2 months
• Adult swimming class term must be completed within 2 months
• Leave requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance to the swimming coach to qualify for make-up class
• Less than 24 hours notice will not qualify for make-up class (If suddenly unwell and unable to notify 24 hours before class, a doctor's certificate must be provided to qualify for make-up class)
• Unexcused absences will not be eligible for make-up classes
• If class is interrupted due to weather, make-up class will be arranged if less than half the class time was completed; no make-up if more than half was completed
• Swimming classes are suspended on public holidays (except for special announcements)
• If class is cancelled on that day due to swimming competition, no make-up class or refund will be provided; students participating in competitions will be counted as having attended class
• All make-up classes must be completed within 1 month; expired entitlements are automatically forfeited
• Approved leave and make-up class schedules cannot be changed; absence from a make-up class under any circumstances is considered automatic forfeiture

5. Fees

Payment Arrangements

• Students enrolling in swimming classes must pay at least half of the total course fee as a deposit
• The remaining balance (if any) must be paid in full before the first class
• Students attending trial classes must pay the full fee
• Due to limited capacity, enrollment priority is: Full payment > Half payment > Trial

Refund Policy

• Once a booking is confirmed, all reservations cannot be changed or cancelled, and fees are non-refundable
• Failure to attend on the scheduled date will be considered "withdrawal from enrollment," and all prepaid fees are non-refundable
• Trial class dates cannot be changed; failure to attend on the scheduled trial date will not be refunded
• Except in special circumstances, once enrolled, refunds, transfers, or substitutions are not permitted
• If the club cancels a swimming class, paid fees will be refunded
• No refund will be provided if a student withdraws for personal reasons

Term Renewal Payment

• Payment for the next term must be made before the last class of the current term
• Late payment may incur an additional administrative fee of 15% of the tuition
• The club reserves the right to pursue unpaid tuition fees

Other Fees

• All bank charges resulting from transfer or bounced cheques are the customer's responsibility
• Students and parents are responsible for their own pool admission fees
• Please bring coins for locker use; coins are refundable after use

6. Photography and Recording

Photos and Videos Usage

The Swimming Club reserves the right to use photos or videos of students during classes and competitions for documentation or promotional purposes.

Parent Photography

Without written permission from the club, parents are not permitted to observe, photograph, or record students during class.
