I can search the
General Register Office Index (GRO Index), each year is broken
into four quarters March Q (Jan,Feb,Mar), June Q (Apr,May,Jun),
Sep Q (Jul,Aug,Sep), Dec Q(Oct,Nov,Dec). Don't forgot
that they had several weeks to register their event so even if
the birth took place in December they might not have
registered until January. Also, just
because registering your event became mandatory in 1837 it
didn't mean that everyone complied.
You need to
specify the years and quarters that you would like searched,
the name of the person you are interested in, whether it's a
birth, death or marriage entry. Fee is $1.50 US to
search two years (eight quarters) unfortunately due to the
nature of this search I cannot offer the "free unless
successful" option for it.
Ordering
Certificates from the United Kingdom is made quite a bit
simpler (and less costly) if you are armed with the GRO index.

Please
supply as much information as possible so that I can find the
correct family. Details to include would be Name of person,
suspected possible location, approx ages, suspected places of
birth, occupations. More info helps with the search and
accuracy of the results.
